Jury Meeting for 2021 Festival

The Call for Works for UNM 2021 is upon us – that’s why we’re hosting a jury meeting!
For every Call for Works an independent jury is elected in an open meeting. The jury is responsible for selecting which seven works will take part in the coming festival.
This year the jury meeting will take place on the 3rd of May at 16.00. Until then we gladly accept your nominations! The jury should consist of three people of different competences and creative background within music. Members of the jury can be practitioners such as, but not limited to, composers, sound or performance artists, performers, musicologists or conductors.
The meeting is open to anyone who wants to attend, and all participants are invited to vote on the matter of the jury. Who do You think should be on the jury for UNM call for works 2021?
The meeting will take place on Google Hangouts on Tuesday the 3rd of May at 16.00. You take part through an online link that will be sent out in time for the meeting. If you want to nominate someone and/or participate in the meeting, get in touch at It is possible to nominate someone during the meeting as well but we prefer if you do this in advance.

UNM is a festival for young composers, sound artists and performance artists based in or with connections to any of the Nordic countries. Since 1946, the festival has rotated between Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Finland and Sweden, offering young composers the opportunity to have their works presented by ensembles and connect with other young music practitioners.
